During my sporting career I founded Control Products Roy Hinnen in 1989, then Roy Hinnen GmbH in 1995 and Hinnen Coaching trading companies (import & export of sports equipment) in 2007. Later I added my own bike and neoprene brand, the “Roy Hinnen Bikes” and “Roy Hinnen Neoprene Suits”. I sold my brands as an importer to specialist retailers and directly through my Tri-Shop. In 2012 I sold my trading company and from then on I increasingly focused on coaching via tridome GmbH.
My father left me a very big gift for my career. He told me, “Roy, success is natural, failure is unnatural”. I will never forget his words.
Thinking clearer and more anticipatory than society can was put in my lap. Having success is not the ultimate goal, but with my entrepreneurial courage to be able to pursue my visions. In 2019 I founded the FlussPool GmbH. I already had the vision – to sell a lifting floor pool with a flow channel in one – in 2009. But it took a long time 7 years until the first pool was sold. In hindsight, however, this time was necessary so that my personality could merge more maturely with the brand.
Thanks to this experience as an entrepreneur, I no longer take success so personally. Even if the vision is big and the product is ingenious, luck is always needed.
