“Shortly after my 40th birthday (in technical jargon this is probably called a midlife crisis), I felt the need to take on a new challenge. There were three options and I decided on the Ironman project option. Due to my job, I had been doing less and less sport in recent years. I didn’t have a structured plan for the Ironman project! What I did have was a clear goal of completing the 70.3 in Rapperswil in a time of 5:30 within 9 months.
There are countless books, websites, blogs, etc. about training methods, training plans, etc. I thought it was important to find someone I could trust and who had experience in setting up a clearly structured training plan. You invest a lot of time in training and as I travel a lot, it was important for me to get first-hand feedback and adjustments. Roy was always there for me with any questions or concerns. Without Roy, I would not have achieved my time of 5:22 in Rappi after 9 months of training. I am looking forward to further challenges and can highly recommend working with Roy to anyone who has a clear goal. Anything is possible! Thank you Roy!”
