“After five months of working with Roy, my general level of performance has increased, my physique has changed significantly, I have integrated a plant-based diet as a way of life, I have stopped drinking alcohol and my general attitude to life has improved considerably. So far so good. But just as important is the support “between the lines”, far removed from training plans and increasing efficiency; triathlon training as a tool on my own journey. Roy quickly recognized in which areas I had opportunities for development, reduced the self-imposed pressure at the right points and helped me not to lose focus on the actual goal: the journey. Long-distance goal – is that realistic? Perhaps. But much more exciting is the journey there – and the joy of this extraordinary sport; pushing my physical and mental limits and going beyond them, growing and knowing: I have done it.
Roy, with his expertise as a life-experienced professional athlete and coach, is a highly valued companion on this journey. He has taught me how to bite my way through tough sessions, to understand what my body is trying to tell me with an injury, to appreciate that nutrition in training is a gift and not a must, and that, despite all the enthusiasm and ambition, being mindful of yourself is crucial. Thank you Roy.”
