I and four other participants started the triathlon workshop with Roy Hinnen on October 18, 2008 at 7:30 am with a lactate test. After a short breakfast consisting of home-baked pure spelled bread, it was off to the track for running training. There we completed individual training units – based on the results of the previous lactate test. The running units in the low pulse range were particularly well received, but they took a little patience. Carboloading with spaghetti was followed by a training session on the bike, with a focus on endurance and riding technique. The new inputs on the topics of nutrition and mental training as well as the personal tips for designing the training from Roy Hinnen have motivated me and the other participants to set ambitious goals for the next running, triathlon and gigathlon season and to achieve them with a lot of fun pursue.
