“Hello Roy, I’ve set the new world record in height!
On the highest volcano on earth in Chile, the Ojos del Salado (6,893m), I drove in difficult terrain and traversed over two glaciers to the main crater.
Finally, the amount of snow available did not allow us to reach the ultimate height. After 4 attempts to gain altitude on the rim of the crater, I had to realize that 6,546m was the end.
If the enormous amounts of snow hadn’t been there, I wouldn’t have been able to brake and would have headed straight for the summit ????
Thanks to good acclimatization, strict discipline and perseverance, I had no difficulties at all.
